Can I use Disney bucks to purchase genie plus?

Welcome to planDisney, Patty! We're glad you stopped by with your question!

Luckily, I'm no longer that person who's hard to shop for in my family, as Disney Gift Cards are the one thing I ask for at birthdays and Christmas. They are a great way to pay for Theme Park tickets, Walt Disney World Resort stays, merchandise, and dining. Disney is trying to increase options for contactless payments, so now they are also accepting Disney Gift Cards (and Disney Visa Rewards Redemption Cards) to pay for Disney Genie+

Using Disney Genie+ is a way to save time since Guests who purchase it can book a return time to skip the standby line and go through an attractions' Lightning Lane; currently, it's offered at more than 40 attractions. You can do this right through your My Disney Experience mobile app. After you select which members of your party you want to purchase Genie+ for, you'll see the option to pay for it with a Disney Gift Card. Guests will also have this same payment option when utilizing Mobile Ordering

My friend, Betsy, has a great tip that I'm sure she wouldn't mind sharing; she likes to type her Disney Gift Card and Disney Rewards Redemption Card numbers into the Notes application on her phone. This way, she can cut and paste the information instead of pulling it out of her wallet every time she wants to use it. Brilliant!

I hope this helps, Patty! Please come back and see us again real soon!
