Is Disney bringing back annual passes?

    Hi there, Amber!

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm happy to help.

I, like you, am eager to get answers about the return of some of Walt Disney World Resort's Guest offerings that have been paused during this time of phased reopening. Two of the offerings that Guests are most curious about are Annual Passes and the Disney Dining Plan. While the purchase of both of these options have been suspended until further notice, I'm sure Disney is carefully considering how to proceed with both of these Guest favorites.

As a frequent visitor of Walt Disney World Resort, it's made sense for me financially to purchase an Annual Pass over the last several years. I've enjoyed all of the benefits that come with being a Passholder, and have definitely gotten my money's worth each year! Annual Passholders that had valid passes during the theme park closure have been allowed to renew, but there have been no new pass sales as of yet. While Annual Passes are not available, there are many other ticket options currently available for Guests to purchase.

One Guest offering that has returned is the Park Hopper option that can be added to your Theme Park Ticket. With a theme park ticket with the Park Hopper Option, Guests have the ability to visit and enjoy more than one theme park on the same day - even all four parks if you're adventurous! I always recommend Park Hopper tickets to maximize your days, and maximize your FUN. I recommend familiarizing yourself with current Park Hopper protocols if you decide to purchase a theme park ticket with this option.

The most up-to-date information regarding Annual Pass sales can be found on the Passholder page on the Walt Disney World website, including pricing information if and when they resume sales. For any official announcements regarding the return of the Passholder Program, stay tuned to Walt Disney World Resort on Facebook and Twitter, and the Disney Parks Blog. I'm hoping the Passholder program will be back soon, and you'll be able to purchase a pass to enjoy more magical days at Walt Disney World.

Thanks again for visiting planDisney - have a magical day! - Diane W.
