We are going to Disney 12/25 -1/1. I booked 50s prime time as an experience I know my mom will love, but I was able to get a table for California grill at 2100 for their 50th celebration meal the same day. Can we just order apps and desserts at PT cafe?

    Hi Nicole!

Walt Disney World is so festive during the holidays! The parks are decorated with zillions of sparkling lights, thousands of bright red poinsettias, and hundreds of splendidly decorated Christmas trees. I love the Mickey wreaths that adorn the lampposts.

Me, oh my, oh Mickey! Two fabulous restaurants in one day! The 50's Prime Time Cafe has the most amusing servers around. The waitstaff might pull a bit of mockery if you skip the meatloaf and fried chicken, but you are absolutely welcome to order as much or as little as you like. Enjoying only appetizers and desserts for your meal is fine.

With its sweeping views and innovative prix fixe menu, a meal at California Grill is an experience. No matter what time your dinner, you are welcome to view the Magic Kingdom nighttime spectacular from the restaurant's rooftop deck. The music accompanying Enchantment is piped in and you have a lovely sky high view of the fireworks.

Wishing you and your mom a wonderful visit to see Mickey!
