Of the Disney 2 bedroom resorts, which one has the best/safest pools for smaller children (We have 3 children 4 and younger)? And is it better to make a reservation directly with the hotel or should we go through a package. We're planning on Nov. 29th.

Hi, Janet! I absolutely love that time of year at Disney! Yet, I'm not sure that you should base your entire resort selection decision on the pool since late November is a little "iffy" for some quality pool time. (Of course, you are talking with a girl from Alabama...I may get cold easier than you!)

For the pools (especially with smaller children), there is nothing better than Stormalong Bay at the Yacht & Beach Clubs. Therefore, hands down I have to recommend the The Beach Club Villas for the pool accessibility as well as the variety of things to do there. When my children were the ages of yours, I could relax more at Stormalong Bay than any other pool since they occupied themselves on the sand bar...playing in the sand and wading in the water. Think of a day at the beach with no waves or sea creatures!

Thinking things through with you, I would consider also Bay Lake Tower or the Villas at Wilderness Lodge since you will be closer to the Magic Kingdom -- a sure-fire winner in the eyes of preschoolers. So, although I love the pool of the Beach Club, I always would prefer to be closer to the MK when my kids were small. (Between those two, the pool at WL is a better option than BLT.)

As far as the reservation process, you can call 407-WDISNEY to book a room-only reservation or a package (tickets, accommodations and dining).  Or, you can go online to www.disneyworld.com to see the various offers and packages and to book a reservation. With some of the current offers available, I believe it pays to book packages -- especially if you get free dining. Do your online homework and investigate what's right for your family, and if you have more questions along the way, I'd be happy to help. You know where to find me!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
