Hi Libbie! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
MagicBand+ came to Disneyland Resort this time last year, introducing a convenient way to scan into the parks and
Lightning Lane Entrances and link
PhotoPass Service photos. There are also all the fun interactive elements throughout the parks and on select attractions, which you can experience with your band. One fun activity with the bands is to become a
Bounty Hunter in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park, collecting bounties with your band. They definitely enhance your day!
I recently purchased bands for my children on
shopDisney for a park visit, so I can personally speak to how they fit on smaller wrists. The bands are one size fits most. Each band has two sizes built right in. You should be able to see in some of the images that they have an interior line running along the band. That line is where the smaller band hides! To transform the band to the smaller size push that inner band out, peeling away the outside portion.
I'd recommend that you check if you need to alter it first since there's no putting that genie back in the bottle. My boys are 6 and 9, but they're pretty petite, and we were actually able to keep the bands on the smallest hole without altering them. But the option is there and could come in handy, especially for preschool visitors.
A fun way to start anticipating the magic of your visit is to let your kids pick out their own design from all the cute selections available on shopDisney. Just make sure you're selecting from the MagicBand+ options: They're the only ones that work at the Disneyland Resort. But if you'd like to wait, you can purchase your bands once you arrive at select locations in the parks and Downtown Disney District.
Have a magical day!
