Aloha, Elena!
What can I say except you're welcome here at planDisney! How exciting that your upcoming vacation to
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is just on the horizon. There's no place I'd rather be than riding the Hawaiian roller coaster ride at Aulani. Our family just visited for the third time this past August, and it's such a special vacation. Few things are as wonderful as when the magic of Disney meets the spirit of Aloha for a memorable family trip.
Elena, I confirmed with Aulani that they do indeed accept
Disney Gift Cards on property to use for dining, the snack shops, and in the gift shop, and you can use it toward any room charges at the end of your stay should there be any charges upon check-out. However, the policy for check-in is that you do need to provide a credit card to cover incidentals and room charges. If at the end of your stay, there is a balance, you can then use the Gift Card to pay for any remaining balances or speak to the Front Desk about the charges to be paid for by the Gift Card versus any that would be charged to your credit card. But the Gift Card itself can't be the only form of payment on your room for room charges.
I recommend that the night before you check out, stop
by the Front Desk to review any charges made to your room and provide your Gift Card at this time so that it can be applied before you check out in the morning. This may prevent your credit card from being auto-charged. I would also advise on your check-in, speak to the Front Desk about your plan, and confirm any current policies regarding Gift Card use, to ensure that you can indeed apply it to any room charges and incidentals at the end of your stay.
No visit to Aulani is complete without
Hawaiian shave ice, Elena. I recommend adding the Mickey Ears because, after all, everything tastes better when it's Mickey-shaped.
I hope this helps you Elena. If you have any further questions, surf back here to see us. At planDisney, we are your vacation planning 'ohana. 'Ohana means family and that means nobody gets left behind.
