    Hi We will be at Disney in August & we're staying at Fort Wilderness Lodge. I am wondering how far is the Wilderness Campground site from our hotel. We want to eat at the Mickey's Backyard BBQ. So, in short, is that a bus ride or in walking distance?

    Hi Alex, The Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful Resort...great choice!

    There is a walking trail between Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge. It is less than a mile in length. Other options for you include an "Internal Shuttle Bus" that loops between the two places or a relaxing boat ride. The bus and the boat run every 20 minutes or so.
