Hello. We are going to Disney in August and we are not staying at a WDW resort. I have a family of 6 and wanted to know if I could buy just two magic bands and link my kids to mine? Or does each person need their own? Thanks.

Hello there, Lisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Thank you so much for your question. MagicBands are a fantastic way to simplify your Walt Disney World vacation. Park admission, FastPass+ access, PhotoPass and more are just a tap away! Staying off property, everyone in your party will be given Admission Cards that are your ‘Park Ticket’. If you would like a MagicBand for yourself, it can then be linked to your Admission Card. If others in your party do not also have a MagicBand, they will simply use their Admission Cards for entering the Parks and for using FastPass+ features. You can not add more than one person's Admission Card to a single MagicBand. I would highly recommend purchasing MagicBands for each member of your family. It truly does make things easier than having a stack of Admission Cards that you have to get out each time you need to use them.

Please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more questions you may have, Lisa. Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
