I will be going to Disney in August with my 2 kids a 2year old and a 1 year old. I'm going to Magic Kingdom 1 day i wanted to know what other park would be good for my kids ?

Susie everyone will have their opinion on this question but since I bring my three year old grandson I can share what we have experienced with the parks.

It is always tough to choose a second choice park for the little ones since there is something wonderful for that age group in each.  But if I was going to spend another day and could only do one I would choose the Animal Kingdom.  Young children love watching and seeing the animals here whether it is on the Safari or on the trails.  The Lion King Show as well as Finding Nemo show are big hits too.  Often the character greeting areas are less crowded then other parks which makes this a special bonus.  See if you can get reservations for Donald's Tusker House breakfast as that is one of our favorite character dining experiences on property.

Make sure you take time to visit Rafiki's Planet Watch.  When you arrive at this location your children will enjoy the hands on activities, the petting area, watching the vet in action, and maybe even "pet" an alligator or other exotic creature.  Another often forgotten spot is the Boneyard where the young kids can play and explore to their hearts desire

Our favorite spot for lunch is Flametree Barbecue which is counter service so no reservations are necessary.  After you get your food take the path down towards the water and select a quiet and cool spot in the shade to eat and relax a bit.  I can almost guarantee a few feathered friends will come join you for a while!

The parade is full of your favorite Disney characters, puppets, and stilt walkers and definitely worth seeing.

You can end your day at this park by getting advanced dining reservations at the Rainforest Cafe which is located at the entrance.  Many families enjoy having dinner here on their way out of the park!
