We are going to disney Aug 15th 2014. I am questioning the dining plan (1quick, 1table, 1snack). If we were at a table meal and I wanted a side salad with my entree would the salad be an aditional cost? What if I wanted the side salad istead of my dessert?

Hey Brittany!  Thanks for visiting us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plan, we purchase it each vacation to Walt Disney World.

Your table service credit entitles you to one entree, one non alcoholic beverages and one dessert.  If you want to add a side salad to your meal, you are able to do so but you will need to pay for it out of pocket.  You cannot order a side salad and have it count as your dessert.  I know it doesn't seem ideal at first but once you get there it really does work out.  Most restaurants offer bread to start out with that is included with your Dining Plan credit.  All of the entrees come with sides and it really is a complete meal.  If you eat at buffets, everything is included.  We love the Disney Dining Plan, it works out really well for our family.  It is so convenient having everything paid for ahead of time and much more relaxing to not look at prices.

I encourage you to give the Disney Dining Plan a try, I am so glad we did!  If you have any other questions about the Disney Dining Plan, please feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
