Hi Jill,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My wife and I — let's just say we're almost-empty-nesters — have taken many trips by ourselves and love taking in all the relaxed nightlife offerings.
We truly enjoy Disney's BoardWalk and strolling around Crescent Lake, dining in the restaurants and shopping. There are some
fine food experiences along the BoardWalk. I am very fond of
AbracadaBar, and imagine hanging out with all the celebrated magicians from the great days of magic. Trattoria al Forno is one of the restaurants we've enjoyed. For some high-energy fun,
Jellyrolls piano bar is a perfect spot to relax and sing out some of your favorites.
My wife and I also frequent
Disney Springs as we often stay at our Disney Vacation Club Home Resort at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Disney Springs is the perfect setting for a relaxed night on the town. Given its size and scale, you'll find more
dining, lounge, and entertainment offerings at Disney Springs than you'll find at Disney's BoardWalk. I have so many favorites — Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', Paddlefish, the Boathouse — it's hard to name the best restaurant. There are also more unique shops and distinctive discoveries.
So, for me, I'd opt for Disney's BoardWalk for a quieter enjoyable evening, while I'd choose Disney Springs for a broader selection of enjoyable experiences with a vibrant waterfront town feel.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
