Greetings Leeza, and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort very soon. Anyone who wants to talk about Disney Dining is speaking my language. I attended the start of the
World’s Most Magical Celebration on October 1st, and the
50th Anniversary Sips and Bites Guide was my new best friend.
I am so sorry to hear that you are having trouble making your Advanced Dining Reservations for Chef Mickey’s. I have discovered from my own first-hand experience that the most popular restaurants get booked up pretty fast.
Online reservations in My Disney Experience open up at 6:00 A.M. Eastern (Mickey) Time. You can speak with a Cast Member starting at 7:00 A.M. by calling (407) WDW-DINE. However, the lines are extremely busy these days, and booking online can save time waiting on hold.
One reason so many popularly eateries like
Chef Mickey’s get booked up so quickly is because Guests of Disney Resorts Collection Hotels can make reservations for the entire length of their stay, up to 10 days, beginning 60 days before their arrival. This makes it difficult to get reservations on the first day your reservation window opens. Do not give up on your dreams of dining with the Fab 5 at Chef Mickey’s. I advise you to check back regularly for cancellations. Some Guests will change or even cancel their plans, allowing for a spot to open up at your favorite restaurant. You may even be able to grab a reservation just prior to your departure. I also wanted to let you know that several table service restaurants may allow you to join a walk-up list using the My Disney Experience mobile app for last-minute reservations.
I certainly hope this helps you finalize your dining plans. If you have any more questions please come back and visit us here at planDisney.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
