    Will Disney do anything special for a family with a deploying soldier? We will be there in May and my husband deploys shortly after we return home form the trip. Thank you

    I am so happy that your family will have this special time together at Walt Disney World before your husband deploys.  I know that this vacation will provide many special and magical memories to hold on to during those difficult times while he is away!



    There is a special "Flag Retreat Ceremony" that takes place very day in Walt Disney World in the Magic Kingdom at 5:00 p.m.  It is located in the square at the entrance to Main Street, U.S.A.



    Walt Disney World Security and a "Special Guest" conduct the ceremony.  Members of the Armed Services and Veterans can volunteer to be the Special Guest by stopping at Guest Relations near the Entrance of the Magic Kingdom and inquiring.  I recommend you get there as early as possible to sign up for this very touching event.



    You can actually view some of these ceremonies online on YouTube by doing a search for "Magic Kingdom Flag Retreat Ceremony".



    Please know that we are SO grateful for the sacrifices your husband and your entire family are making for our country and for us all.  I wish you an unforgettable trip together to Walt Disney World!
