Should I get the Disney Annual Pass even though I only visit WDW once a year (8 to 10 days)? I know of pass-holder benefits at Epcot and heard of other benefits like hotel room and dinning plan discounts, but not sure if I should get the annual pass.

    Hi Frank,

As a long-time passholder, I can attest to the fact that the discounts and benefits that come with an annual pass are awesome. I always think it's a good idea to do the math on whether an annual pass makes economic sense if you are visiting more than once in a year or if you are planning a long vacation.

You can find the full list of benefits and discounts here, but I'll give you a few highlights. One of the best is the discount that is offered frequently on resort stays, often 30 percent or more. You also get discounts on dining and merchandise along with a price break on special events. Through September 30, 2017, the discounts are even great, in celebration of Walt Disney World's 45 anniversary.

And don't forget that the Platinum pass, the one available for those who live outside of Florida, includes your Disney PhotoPass downloads. The Platinum Plus pass includes admission to the water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports and the greens fees for Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

Another way to get the most out of an annual pass: Plan you next annual trip at the end of your pass year. That's a great way to get two year's worth of vacations on one annual pass.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Frank. I hope that gives you enough information to determine if an annual pass is right for you. If you have other questions, don't hesitate to check back with us. We're always eager to help.

    Enjoy,
