Hi Sarah and welcome to planDisney!
I see that you're a fellow Florida resident! Living in the Sunshine State gives us the opportunity to make magical memories more often since we live so close to Walt Disney World. I have been visiting the theme parks since I was a little girl, so being a family of
Disney Passholders is really special.
When you
purchase a new annual pass, you have one year to activate it. If you purchase today, but your first visit isn't until January of 2024, your pass will be valid until January of 2025. Since the
Disney Parks Blog announced last week that annual pass sales will be limited, it's a great idea to purchase them now, even if you won't be visiting for awhile, but within a year. That not only guarantees that you and your family will have passes, but it also locks in the current pass pricing.
Since you are a Florida resident, you can take advantage of the
Monthly Payment Program. Being able to split the payment up over 12 months makes becoming a Passholder more affordable. Valid
proof of Florida residency is required and can be verified online.
When purchasing an annual pass, take a look at the two add-on options. The first is for the
Disney PhotoPass Downloads, which gets you unlimited photo downloads taken by a PhotoPass photographer and your attraction photos for the entire year. I love being able to get my whole family in our vacation photos and let the PhotoPass photographers be in charge. No more awkward selfies for us! The second is the
Water Park and Sports Option. Adding this to your pass gives you a year of visits to the
Disney Water Parks and access to all of the
miniature golf courses. My kids have been water babies since birth, so we love to splash around at either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach, especially on a hot day. Just a couple of visits pays for the add-on price.
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
