Disney just announce kids eat for free in 2026 if adults book a meal plan and the family is staying at a Disney resort. Does this count for military people who stay at Shades of Green?

Hey there, Amanda! Welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for sharing your delicious dining plan question. There are a bunch of great deals at Walt Disney World for 2025 and 2026, including the dining deal for kids (ages 3–9) that you mentioned. So let's dig in!

I’m sorry to report that it doesn’t appear that Shades of Green is included in this special offer. The offer states that you have to have a room at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, as well as have a dining plan for each guest ages 10 and up. While it is on Walt Disney World property and very close to the theme parks, Shades of Green is not part of the Disney Resorts Collection because it is owned and operated by the United States Department of Defense. If you have questions about the benefits and amenities available to guests staying at Shades of Green, I would recommend calling the Reservations & General Information or Attraction Tickets Sales Office at the resort.

Luckily, there are plenty of other deals available to Walt Disney World Guests and specifically US military members, such as the Disney Military Salute Tickets. Be sure to keep an eye on the Special Offers page and Disney Parks Blog as you plan your 2026 Walt Disney World adventure. They will have the most up-to-date information on current deals and offers.

Amanda, I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. Our knowledgeable panelists are here to help!

    Magical travels!
