Does Disney allows these newer Piggyback Riders in the parks? They're a child backpack carrier for toddlers and small children under 50 pounds. We are thinking of getting this for my tiny niece who's 5 years old, but only 30 pounds. Thanks!

    Welcome Back Ann ~

I love that you are planning ahead! It makes things so much easier and stress free once you arrive for your trip.

The current Park Rules and Regulations at the Walt Disney World Resort do allow Guests to bring in backpack type carriers for kids. You are welcome to bring a Piggyback Rider for your niece to use during your visit.  It will certainly help cut down on the walking she will do and keep her from tiring out too quickly.

Even if the Piggyback Rider offers some type of shading to protect your niece from the sun, I would recommend bringing a hat and sunglasses for her as well. I have seen so many kids with the shade covers on that are still exposed and not protected from the sun depending on the direction the one carrying them is walking.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
