While on a Disney Alaska cruise August 2025, we put down $250 to get 10% off on a future Disney cruise. We are looking at booking a Disney cruise for March 2027, but I don’t know how to redeem the 10% and $250 down payment

    Hello, Derek!

Brilliant move! My family's first-ever cruise was aboard the Disney Wonder, sailing to Alaska. We thought it would be our first and last cruise ever. But we loved it so much, we turned around and booked another cruise on the Wonder, but the next time sailing from Galveston, Texas. I suspect your experience was much like ours. So I have to warn you. We've repeatedly booked cruises using the special onboard offer. Saving 10%-25% on select sailings sure makes it attractive! We've sailed on the Disney Cruise Line fourteen times, with three more confirmed reservations already booked and two more placeholder bookings waiting to be planned out as well. So yeah, the Disney Cruise Line vacation experience has really grown on us!

To convert your onboard offer placeholder booking to a confirmed reservation, I recommend starting by visiting your Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club page online. Use the "Log In" button if your previous and future cruises aren't already displayed. Then, look for your placeholder reservation under the "My Cruises" heading and use the "Manage Upcoming Reservations" link from it to start the process. If you'd prefer calling, a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member can also walk you through converting your placeholder. Be sure to check the onboard offer page to see which cruises are subject to offer blockouts as well as which cruises have even higher discounts than the standard 10%. If you decide that you want your next cruise itinerary to be one that happens to be blocked out from the offer, that's OK too. The deposit you paid onboard your Alaskan cruise can still be applied toward another reservation, even if you don't take advantage of a sailing eligible for the discount.

That's basically what my family did when we decided our second cruise would be over the Christmas holiday. We've certainly appreciated the discount price on other cruises many times since then. But that holiday cruise following our epic adventure to Alaska truly solidified our love of sailing Where Magic Meets the Sea. Whatever itinerary you choose for your next cruise, I'm sure it will be another magical adventure on the high seas.

    Enjoy your cruise, Derek!
