Hi JoAnn,
Walt Disney World has had partnerships with different airlines over its forty year history. I remember that when I first visited the Magic Kingdom in the 1970s that Eastern Airlines (an airline that no longer exists but was then "the official airline of Walt Disney World") sponsored an attraction in the park called "If You Had Wings." I loved that attraction and can still hum the music from that ride to this day.
More recently, Walt Disney World has collaborated with a
variety of airlines in order to make the
Magical Express Transportation Service from Orlando International Airport possible. In case you haven't heard of this service, it provides guests the opportunity to check their luggage at their home airports and then their luggage magically appears in their Disney resort room on their day of arrival. Meanwhile, the guests themselves are transported
free of charge by luxury motorcoach to Walt Disney World. I love this complimentary service. It's a great way to kick off any Walt Disney World vacation!
In terms of getting a good rate on a Walt Disney World vacation, many airlines now offer discounted fares and packages through their individual websites. Just select the airline of your choice. Go to its homepage and then click on the tab marked "vacation packages" or "deals and offers." I highly recommend that you compare packages from a variety of airlines that serve your local airport. Travel agents can be very helpful in this regard too.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find an amazing deal on your next vacation to Walt Disney World. Don't hesitate to let us at the Moms Panel know if we can be of further assistance.
Warmest regards,
Jill
