Hello Kara, and welcome to planDisney!
I’m so glad you’re planning a Disney Cruise Line adventure for your whole crew! On our first sailing aboard the
Disney Wonder, we had six passengers, so I understand the challenges, but the memories are absolutely worth it.
For budget-friendly
staterooms, two connecting rooms are usually a better choice than a suite. They make it easier to manage bathroom space and sleeping arrangements, and if they include verandahs, you can fold back the partition for a “super verandah!” While inside staterooms are the least expensive, I suggest considering a deluxe stateroom with a split bathroom, with one side having a shower/tub and sink, and another with a toilet and sink. This setup makes sharing much easier.
Timing also plays a big role in cost. Prices are highest during school breaks and holidays, so we always looked for long weekends using teacher in-service or conference days to squeeze in a 3–4 night sailing. Don’t forget to check the
Special Offers page on the Disney Cruise Line website. Right now, there’s even a limited-time deal of 50% off the 3rd & 4th guests on select cruises!
Finally, while 3- and 4-night cruises are plentiful, your choice of a 5-night sailing is awesome for a first trip. Many include stops at both of Disney’s private island paradises:
Castaway Cay and
Lookout Cay!
