Hiya Kathleen - welcome back to
planDisney!
It's been a while since we last saw you around these parts, and we're so glad to have you back with another question for our team of panelists!
Walt Disney World Resort prides itself on being a special place where
all Guests can have a magical experience regardless of their needs. To that end, there are
numerous services and accommodations available for Guests with hearing impairments. Some of these are baked right into attractions - for example, attractions with pre-show video elements, like
Avatar Flight of Passage, often have open captioning on all screens. For even more options, Disney offers Handheld Captioning Devices which display on-screen text in
locations at various theaters and attractions. These devices can be obtained from
Guests Relations locations inside Theme Parks for a refundable deposit. Sign language interpretation is also available at select experiences and can be requested at others by
contacting the team directly. The accommodations don't stop at the Theme Parks and attractions - be sure to check out the various services for your Disney Resorts Collection Guest Room as well!
I hope this information is helpful as you get ready for your trip next week. I'm so excited for you to experience the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. There are so many new and exciting attractions, entertainment offerings, food, and so much more!
Please let me know if any other questions pop up - we're here to help!
