Welcome to planDisney! Plans can change suddenly, so it’s great to know your options. I’m not sure whether you’re referring to a
Disneyland Vacation Package, a
resort hotel stay, or
theme park tickets — so let’s dive into the current policies for each! I’d be happy to help clarify this for you.
While you can cancel a vacation package, the
refund policy varies:
- The “24-Hour Booking Policy”: You may receive a full refund if you cancel your package within 24 hours of booking. Please keep in mind that the check-in date must be at least 72 hours from the purchase date.
- 31+ Days Prior: If you cancel at least 31 days in advance, you are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable third-party costs or travel protection.
- Between 4 and 29 Days Prior: If you cancel between 4 and 29 days before arrival, you can still receive a refund minus a $200 cancellation fee.
Lastly, if you cancel 3 days or less in advance, the package is non-refundable.
If you book a stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel, you can receive a full refund of your deposit if you
cancel 5 or more days in advance. If you cancel within 4 days of your check-in date, you would forfeit your deposit as the cancellation fee.
Disneyland theme park tickets are typically
non-refundable. Although you are not able to cancel, you can change your theme park reservation for another date if you purchase a standard theme park ticket. You can do this quickly through the Disneyland
mobile app. Here’s how:
- Tap the main menu icon (≡) in the bottom right corner.
- Scroll down to the “Plan My Next Visit” section.
- Tap “Park Reservations.”
- Scroll down to the “Upcoming Theme Park Reservations” section.
- Choose "Modify Reservation."
- Select the members of your party who will be modifying their park reservation.
- Choose the new date by selecting an available date on the park reservations calendar.
- Choose the theme park you want to start your visit at for that day.
- Click "Continue."
