Hello there, Laura,
Oh boy! It seems you are getting ready to enjoy a beautiful land and sea holiday. Your time aboard the Disney Cruise Line will set up an incredible Disney experience that will seamlessly continue during your ground transfer to the lovely Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
On the day before disembarkation day, I recommend reviewing the latest informational material available in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. There will be a section on the home page with debarkation information. A crucial section of the "Debarkation Info" screen relates to luggage, including how and when to prepare your luggage to be collected by your stateroom host in preparation for debarkation the next morning. More directly related to your question, another section of the "Debarkation Info" in the Navigator app is called "Transportation." There, you will find the necessary details for your particular itinerary. That includes times for disembarking the ship, collecting your luggage in the Port Canaveral cruise ship terminal, and meeting your motorcoach for an approximately hour journey to The Most Magical Place on Earth." All along the way that morning, there will be signs and Cast Members to direct you to the motorcoach area and the specific coach for your particular resort destination. If you have any questions, you may also call Guest Services from your stateroom phone or stop by the Guest Services Desk, where you may also pick up more character luggage tags, if needed.
For my family's recent cruise aboard the Disney Treasure, we had purchased ground transportation to Disney's Art of Animation Resort. To give you an idea of approximately what you might expect for your experience, the Navigator app recommended to us that we disembark the ship no later than 8:15 AM to collect our luggage and meet our motorcoach for departure promptly at 9:00 AM. When we disembarked and entered the cruise terminal, we quickly located our luggage and walked our bags directly to our motorcoach. The driver and staff loaded our larger bags into the storage under the bus, we ascended the steps, and after a wait of only a few minutes, we were on the road to Walt Disney World Resort. I checked my travel logs for that day and saw that we arrived at our resort at 10:11 AM. After retrieving our luggage from the bus and checking it with the resort's Bell Services Cast Members, we headed to the Disney Skyliner. By 10:54 AM, we were already strolling down Hollywood Boulevard at Disney's Hollywood Studios. In no time, we were enjoying a delicious meal at one of our favorite Walt Disney World Restaurants 50's Prime Time Café.
I hope you have a marvelous holiday, Laura. Thank you for the opportunity to play a small role in helping you get all of your planning in place. We look forward to hearing from you again here at planDisney.
Have a magical trip, Laura!
