Hi there, Karen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What a vacation you have planned! My family sailed the Southern Caribbean last January and wow – it was amazing! It was a great escape from the cold(ish) winter weather we have in Texas and we loved being able to visit so many of the islands on our bucket list without unpacking multiple times!
I am so glad you sailed by with your question about disembarkation day flights because you certainly want to plan your flights accordingly. Your voyage itinerary shows that disembarkation is scheduled to begin around 7:45am barring no delays in returning to the
Port of San Juan on that final morning. Although the cruise terminal is relatively close to the Luis Munoz International Airport (approximately 20 min),
Disney Cruise Line does not recommend flights being scheduled any earlier than 11:30am. If you plan on utilizing the option to carry off your own luggage instead of having it taken to the cruise terminal for you to collect after disembarking, then I feel like you could likely make the flight without any issues. Personally, my family has made flights at 10:30am on disembarkation day (from Orlando International Airport), but we most definitely do “Express Walk Off” and disembark with our luggage as soon as they announce disembarkation has begun. Additionally, we made sure to have private transfers arranged to ensure we had a ride waiting for us when we made it through the cruise terminal. If you do opt for a later flight, I can honestly say that the airport was very nice and rather comfortable as we had a longer than wanted wait there after disembarking in San Juan on our previous voyage.
Wishing you a
WONDERful voyage with many magical memories made!
Happy Sailing!
