    When we disembark the DCL in February 2011, what time should I tell a private car company to pick us up? What time can we actually get off the ship to meet the car?

    Hi Margaret,

    When arriving in Port Canaveral, Florida - guests must wait until the ship is cleared by U.S. Customs Officials before they will be permitted to disembark.  In my experience this typically happens around 7:30 a.m. but this certainly can vary.  Once the ship has been cleared, you are free to disembark at any time.  There are no groups or assigned times for disembarkation.

    If you are looking to disembark as soon as possible - I would suggest having your car meet you at 8:00 a.m.  Now keep in mind that your breakfast will be assigned that day so if you are booked in the late dinner seating, you will more than likely have a late breakfast time.  This could simply mean that you may miss the opportunity for your scheduled breakfast.  If you are looking to stay onboard a little longer, all guests are asked to disembark by 9:30 a.m so I would schedule your pickup no later than 10:00 a.m.
