Hello, I have a disease that requires a low sodium diet. Looking at all the quick service and food court items, what items are low sodium? I know I can have fresh fruit but I'd like to eat more than that. Any protein or fresh veggies? Thank you!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Susan!

Thanks for dropping by with a delightful Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Oh boy... you're just days away from a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I bet you're counting down the seconds! I'd be happy to help you prepare for a happy and healthy trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Susan, as someone who's dealt with food allergies and sensitivities at The Most Magical Place on Earth, I want to reassure you about your upcoming experience. I've been very impressed with how seriously the Walt Disney World Resort takes special dietary requests, and the way they go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience for all Guests! I'm happy to share that most common special dietary requests, including low-sodium options, can be accommodated with no pre-planning required. Though these options may not be listed on the menus like the allergy-friendly offerings are, Cast Members at each dining location should be able to help you identify suitable options in-person. If you have specific concerns relating to a medically-restrictive diet, I recommend reaching out to the Special Diets team via email as soon as possible.

If you'd like, you could also have groceries delivered straight to your Disney Resort hotel, Susan. Guests may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the theme parks as long as they adhere to the general property rules! The address for your Disney Resort hotel should be published on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in the My Disney Experience mobile app. This would ensure that you have access to food and beverages that meet your dietary needs throughout the duration of your vacation.

Susan, I hope you've found this information helpful and I wish you a trip filled with many magical meals! If you have any additional questions before or during your holiday, you can always revisit us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
