Are there discounts for teachers at Disney?

    Hi Teresa,

May I assume that you are a teacher too? What age group do you teach? I've been teaching high school students for 18 years. I'm so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about discounts for teachers at Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disney Youth Office provides tangible evidence that they appreciate the work that teachers do by giving free tickets to two teachers who accompany a minimum of ten students participating in Disney Youth Education Series classes. At present, there are no discounts for teachers who are not traveling with their students.

However, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort offer discounts on guest rooms to teachers and nurses who stay with them. The Swan and Dolphin are lovely hotels with incredibly comfortable beds. They're located right on Walt Disney World Resort property so, if you're looking for a place to stay, you may want to ask about their discount for teachers. You can see if they have discounted rooms available at the time you hope to travel by calling (888) 828-8850.

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
