Hi Joanne. Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your question. More importantly, thank you to you and your family for your service and sacrifice. Helping Veterans plan the perfect
Walt Disney World vacation is one of my favorite types of questions to answer. It is the least I can do.
Disney offers specialty-priced tickets for Eligible Service Members, and the best place to start is the
US Military Members' Specially Priced Theme Park Tickets page for 2026. Right now, there are two options. The first is the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket, which functions a lot like an annual pass and allows multiple visits through December 2026 with park reservations. The second option is the Disney Military Salute Ticket, available in 4, 5, and 6-day lengths. Both of these can be purchased through
your local U.S. Military base ticket office.
Once you have the tickets in hand, load them into your
My Disney Experience app by tapping the menu, selecting Tickets and Passes, hitting the plus sign in the top right corner, choosing Link Tickets or Passes, and entering the ticket number on your voucher or taking a picture of the barcode/QR code. After linking them to your account, you will be able to make your theme park reservations and begin planning your
Lightning Lane strategy ahead of your trip. Linking does not activate the tickets. Activation is done in person at any Guest Relations window outside the theme parks or at the
Disney Ticket Center in Disney Springs, where Disney will verify eligibility.
To make sure you qualify for these tickets, Disney defines Eligible Service Members as active or retired members of the U.S. Military, including the National Guard, Reservists, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Space Force, along with a few other categories. You will need valid military identification at activation. When I get questions about eligibility details, I often point Guests to the
Shades of Green Resort’s eligibility guidelines since they are part of the Armed Forces Recreation Centers.
Shades of Green is an on-property resort exclusively for military members and their families, located just a short distance from Magic Kingdom. It is another outstanding way to enjoy Walt Disney World at rates designed specifically for those who serve.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction, Joanne. If you need help choosing which ticket type is best for your family or want some planning advice along the way, come back to planDisney and
send another question my way.
See you real soon!
