Hi there, Joyce. Welcome to planDisney, your one-stop shop for all Disney vacation planning questions!
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is a wonderful choice for a stay at the
Walt Disney World Resort. And because I’m me, I go to
food first, and this resort is where you can find some pretty amazing Mickey-shaped
beignets. For a grab-and-go option, check out
Scat Cat’s Club - Café, and for a sit-down lounge vibe, go with
Scat Cat’s Club - Lounge. Currently, both have my favorite version, the Baton Rouge Beignets, which are typically served with alcohol in little pipettes that you can pump into those pillowy and delicious beignets. But the lounge offers live performances on select nights for a more lively experience, which is why it's my preferred option!
While there typically isn’t a discounted rate for single travelers, there
are usually some great deals to be had at the resort. Simply check out
the deals and discounts page to see if there’s a special offer that fits your travel party and dates. If you are planning to book at least 10 or more rooms, you can reach out to
Disney Meetings & Events to see what rates may apply to your gathering.
Some of the great things about the Port Orleans Resorts are that they are at a
moderate price point, their main feature
pools have slides, and you get a table-service restaurant option (
Boatwright’s Dining Hall) without having to leave your resort. Plus, with these resorts, you usually have access to
water transportation to and from
Disney Springs. And that, in and of itself, gives you easy access to amazing
restaurants,
shopping, and
entertainment. I just love the ride along the Sassagoula River on my way to this imaginative shopping and dining district. Oh, who am I kidding? I’m mostly in it for the restaurant options!
Joyce, best wishes planning your vacation, and
be sure to reach out again if you have any other questions!
May your plans be powdered with a little extra Disney magic,
Matt
