Do I get discount on tickets for a socal resident?

    Hi there, Amor!

Very happy to help you with your question today! We here at planDisney love sharing our Disneyland Resort knowledge and know-how with our fellow Guests to help them navigate their way to and through the magic! With your visit just a few days away, let's see what we can find out about current ticket promotions.

Before I plan a visit, I always take a look through the latest discounts and promotions, which you can find on the Disneyland website. If you hover over the "Places to Stay" tab along the top navigation bar, you will see the option to "View Discounts and Promotions" from the dropdown menu. At the moment, there is only one ticket available for local residents—a special 1-Day, 1-Park ticket specifically for Anaheim residents. These tickets are good for use from August 4 - September 25, 2025. If you read through the details for the offer, you can see the list of ZIP codes that are eligible, and proof of residency in the form of a valid, government-issued photo ID will be required for purchase and admission.

While not a SoCal Resident ticket, the multi-day 70th Anniversary Ticket offer is a great deal if you are looking to visit over a few days. The only hiccup here may be that all your days must be used by August 14th, 2025, which is just around the corner. I would keep my eyes peeled on this offer page and also follow along with the Disneyland Instagram account and Disney Parks Blog—you never know when the next promotion will drop! In my experience, I have seen SoCal resident tickets pop up closer to the beginning of the year and run through some of the winter months. Last year, there was a SoCal ticket announced in early December that was valid from January through mid-May of 2025. While not a guarantee, I would make a note to be on the lookout for news around that time.

Amor, I know this was likely not the news you were hoping to hear, but I do hope it's been helpful in your planning! I'll wish upon a star that you are strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. at the end of this week. If you can make it to the parks, you'll want to take a look at the Entertainment Schedule, which is chock full of festivities in honor of the 70th! No matter which park you choose to visit, there are celebratory activities throughout!

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us here at planDisney. We are always happy to help or lend a friendly tip or two or three!

    Magic awaits!
