MagicBand+ can literally "plus" your vacation. From tapping into the theme parks (that sound is music to my ears) to scanning for
Lightning Lane attraction queues, the MagicBand+ comes in handy. Its best uses? With one, you can open your hotel room's door and add purchases to your hotel folio while you're having fun around property.
The not-so-great news is that there is no longer a complimentary or pre-arrival discounted MagicBand+ offer. However, you can purchase a MagicBand+ of your liking on the
Disney Store website before your trip. Then link it to your
My Disney Experience app and you're ready to go for your vacation. You can also wait to buy one from your Disney World Resort hotel's gift shop upon your arrival. Check out
Disney Springs and other locations around the theme parks for fun options, too.
AN EXTRA GEM: As a frequent visitor to Disney World, I don't always use one of my MagicBands+. My go-to option is actually my phone's
Disney MagicMobile feature via my digital wallet. You can set this up for your phone or compatible smartwatch through the My Disney Experience app. Although this won't open your hotel room door or do other things that a MagicBand+ can, you'll be able to tap into the magic with it.
