Hi Ray, and welcome to planDisney! First, thank you for your family’s service. The Disney military discounts are an amazing way to experience the magic, so I’m happy to help with your question!
There are multiple types of
military discounts on park admission available to service members and their families, so let’s take a look at all of the options. The first is an amazing one that is special this year for America’s 250th anniversary. This is called the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket and is good for admission to all four Walt Disney World theme parks throughout 2026. Guests with this ticket can visit as many times as they’d like through December 18, 2026. There is just one remaining blockout period for the year from November 22-28, 2026. The cost of these tickets is $499 with the Park Hopper option or $529 with the Park Hopper Plus option. Please note that prices are subject to change without notice.
The second option is the Disney Military Salute ticket. These can be purchased as 4-, 5-, or 6-day tickets with either the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option. Ticket prices range from $409-$479 (subject to change). Both the Disney Celebrates America and Disney Military Salute tickets can be purchased by service members and retirees (or their spouses), with a limit of six tickets during 2026. By purchasing them at a military base ticket office or at the
Shades of Green Resort, you will not have to pay tax, so this can add up to significant savings. At a Walt Disney World ticket window, you will be required to pay tax. Both of these ticket types also require that the service member or spouse be present at Walt Disney World on the first use of the tickets, so they can show a valid military ID to activate them, even if they were purchased at a local military base.
The third option is standard military discounted tickets. These can only be purchased at a military base or the Shades of Green Resort and are not available at Walt Disney World ticket windows. These tickets can be 1- to 10-day tickets and are generally about 10%-20% off regular admission prices, based upon the dates and number of days you plan to visit. One of the benefits of these tickets is that there is no limit to the number you can purchase, and they do not need to be activated upon arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Ray, I hope this helps you decide which tickets are best for you and your family! If you have any more questions,
stop back by and see me. I’m always happy to help and love adding a little extra pixie dust for our veterans and their families!
Your pal,
Casey
