Is there a discount for dvc members when booking adventures by Disney trips?

    Hi Erin,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Disney Vacation Club members are able to book Adventures by Disney vacations through Disney Vacation Club.  In order to book an Adventure by Disney through Disney Vacation Club, you need to call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800.  Follow the prompts to speak with a cast member who can help you with Adventures by Disney.  I spoke with a wonderful cast member at Disney Vacation Club who let me know that in order to book an Adventure by Disney through Disney Vacation Club, at least one passenger in your group must do so using Reservation Points, which are equivalent to Vacation Points.  You can book the rest of the group using a traditional method such as a credit card and you will pay the negotiated rate that Disney Vacation Club has for Adventures by Disney.  I am not sure if the negotiated rate offers a discount over the regular rate, or if this varies by adventure.  The cast member at Disney Vacation Club suggested that you call Disney Vacation Club with the specifics of your trip to get a quote on the price, and then visit the Adventures by Disney site or call Adventures by Disney at 1-800-543-0865 to get the price directly from Adventures by Disney.  Then you can compare the two and see which is better for your traveling party.

I would like to thank my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists Erin and Jill for their thoughts on this answer.  Have a wonderful time planning your Adventure by Disney, Erin!  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
