Is there a discount for disabled veterans?

    Hello, Charlotte!

As the wife of a disabled United States Navy Veteran, I am always so grateful for the support Walt Disney World and the entire company has always shown to our military service members. It's always a good feeling to know a military family was able to spend some much needed time together as a result of the discounted tickets.

The military special offer on theme park tickets, known in the community as the Armed Forces Salute tickets, is available to certain eligible veterans. In order to qualify, you must be a 100% Service Connected Permanently Disabled Veteran, which is indicated on your military ID card with the letters DAVPRM.

Other veterans may be eligible for different discounts. In the months of September and January, any service member - retired, disabled, etc. - with an honorable discharge and a DD-214 qualifies for rooms at Shades of Green. This is a military only resort on Walt Disney World property that offers deluxe accommodations with a price based on your rank in the military. It's a very reasonable price for such nice rooms - they are huge! Shades of Green also offers ticket discounts that disabled veterans can take advantage of even without the DAVPRM during the months of September and January.

I hope this helps, Charlotte. And to you, or your military veteran family member, I thank you for your efforts in support of our country.
