Hey there, Jessica!
Thanks for stopping in to see us at planDisney, where we love to let you know about all we've learned from our own Disney vacations as a way to help you plan your most magical stay!
If you have purchased
theme park tickets for Walt Disney World Resort, you can
reassign an unused theme park ticket to someone else who is on your
Family & Friends List.
In your case, it sounds like you will want the Guest who purchased the theme park ticket to reassign that ticket to you. Here are a few quick steps you can share with them.
They can sign in to their
My Disney Experience account and go to their My Plans section. In the My Plans, Reservations and Tickets section, they should see a tab for "Tickets and Memory Maker." This is where they should see a list displayed for the tickets they purchased. They should also see a "Reassign Ticket" menu.
If you are already on their Family & Friends List, your name should display as a choice for reassigning a ticket. If you are not yet part of their Family & Friends List, they can use the "Add a Guest" feature to add you to their list. One of the ways they can add you to their Family & Friends List is to enter your name and age and invite you to connect by sending you an email invitation. Once you accept the email invitation, you'll be connected, and then your name should appear as a Guest to whom they can reassign the theme park ticket.
Jessica, I hope you find these steps helpful. If you find you need some additional help, you can get the assistance of the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk by contacting them through
online chat or by phone at (407) 939-4357.
Here's wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks!
