Is there any disadvantage to booking a room with a better deal through DIsney vs RunDisney? Any issues with race or Expo transportation? Do you still receive the special souvinier? Thank you! Im learning a ton on this panel!

Hi Kacey!  I am so glad you've been helped by the panel!!  We love to hear that!

There will be no difference with the transportation by booking through Disney.  You will have access to the Disney buses as long as you are staying at a host resort.

The special souvenir will only be available to those who book through the 407-WDW-IRUN number.  They are different for every race, so I am not sure what one you would be missing out on.

I do know that often times, a Disney special offer will give you a better rate on rooms than the runner's discount.  I would go with the best deal.  You do want to be sure and visit the ticket discount store.  Most races (not marathon weekend) will have an online store where you can buy theme park tickets at a really good price.  You will have a password to use to gain access to the store.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
