I am a disabled veteran. My VA ID card states that my disability is service related. My wife and I will be in Florida for the month of January (2020). Are there any tickets that would be available to me at a discounted price? Thank you..

Hello, Steve! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

In order to qualify for Walt Disney World Resort’s Military Promotional Tickets, you would need to provide a valid U.S. Military ID at the time of purchase and activation. Unfortunately, a VA ID card is not an acceptable form of ID for this offer. If you have a DD Form 2, DD Form 1173, DD Form 2765 or a DoD Civilian Retiree Card in addition to your VA ID, then you would qualify.

Although the Military Promotional Tickets for 2019 and 2020 are only available to current active duty members of the U.S. Military as well as those officially retired from service, there is a program that you may qualify for if you have a DD-214 Form. Each January and September, Shades of Green offers its “Salute to Our Veterans” program. This program allows honorably-discharged veterans to take advantage of the wonderful amenities at Walt Disney World Resort’s only hotel reserved for the exclusive use of members of the U.S. Military and their families. You can find more information about this program on the Shades of Green website.

Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you, Steve! We’d be more than happy to help.
