I am 100% disabled veteran. Will my US DOD ID count as proof for rates on a Cruise in January or do I need something else? Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney, Joshua,

Particularly during this season when we celebrate our nation's Independence Day, I'm grateful to you and all veterans and members of the armed forces who help to maintain the freedoms we enjoy. I'm glad the Disney Cruise Line offers special discounts to express their gratitude too.

Among the various special offers from the Disney Cruise Line are Special US Military Rates. These discount rates are available to retired and active US military personnel (and their spouses). Military veterans who are 100% permanently disabled may also qualify for these discounts. Valid US Department of Defense identification is required to take advantage of these fantastic rates. If your US DoD ID includes the DAVPRM status printed on it, you should be qualified to take advantage of the military offers from the Disney Cruise Line. Unfortunately, a DD-214 Form may not be sufficient identification.

At the time I'm writing this, special US military rates have been released for select sailings from July 2025 through September 2025. There's even a sailing on the Disney Wonder from Honolulu, Hawai'i to Nouméa, New Caledonia which embarks in early October 2025 on the list. There aren't currently any itineraries on the special rates list for January 2026. But keep your eye on that page for weekly updates. The number of staterooms eligible for the discounted rate is limited. If you find an offer that interests you, I recommend booking it quickly.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise, Joshua. As you continue to get ready for a swashbuckling adventure with Captain Mickey on the high seas, please continue to reach out to us here at planDisney. As regular Guests like you, we are pleased to offer insights and advice that are meaningful and relevant to your individual needs.

    Bon voyage, Joshua!
