Hi there, Gigi!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for your service! We are so grateful you are here and I would love to share more information about navigating the Disneyland Resort with a disability. Let's make sure you have all the information you need to have a truly magical time!
The
Disability Access Service (known as DAS) is designed to help guests who are unable to use regular ride queues due to a disability. By registering for DAS, you will be able to request a return time for an experience that will be similar to the current wait time, so that you don't have to wait in the traditional queue. You can register for DAS by visiting Guest Relations when you arrive at the park, or you can register through an online video chat prior to your visit. To have your party join you, make sure that everyone has a valid park ticket that is linked to your Disney account, as well as park reservations.
I recommend using
DAS Advance to pre-register yourself before your visit by visiting this page and requesting a live video chat with a Cast Member. You can pre-register up to 30 days prior to your visit, but you must register no less than 2 days before you arrive. Before you request your video chat, there are a few things you need to do:
- Make sure every member of your party has a valid park ticket and a park reservation that is linked to your Disney account. If they aren't linked to your account then they will not be able to join you for experiences you reserve through DAS Advance.
- If you are visiting the park for multiple days, all of those days need to be within the next 30 days (and no sooner than 2 days from when you chat).
- The guest utilizing DAS needs to be present for the video chat, so be ready to be on video with a helpful Cast Member!
When you're ready to chat you can click "Request Live Chat" on this page. Live chats are available each day between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
One of the most beautiful traditions at Disneyland Park is the Flag Retreat Ceremony held at the flagpole on Main Street U.S.A. each day. It's incredible to see everyone pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice given on behalf of our country. I highly recommend that you check the
Entertainment Schedule online (the Flag Retreat Ceremony is under Atmosphere Entertainment) or in the
Disneyland Mobile App you can tap on the map pin icon, then click the top center menu to change to "Entertainment" and tap the icon at the flag pole for that day's ceremony time.
Gigi, thank you again for your service. I hope that you and your party will have a truly magical time together at Disneyland!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
