Hiya Randolph,
Welcome to planDisney! I am honored to answer your question today and to help you plan your upcoming family vacation!
What a great question, by the way! As the daughter of two Air Force veterans, I have quite a bit of experience with the military special offers. Ever since I was a little kid, we have been enjoying the Most Magical Place on Earth thanks to military offers. There is currently a
special offer reserved for eligible Service members that gives 15-35% off resort hotel stays, valid for up to 3 rooms (the Eligible Service Member will need to present their US military ID at check-in for each room). In terms of eligibility, when I spoke to a Cast Member, they said you typically need 100% disability status to qualify for these. Since you mentioned that you are not retired from the military, you may still be eligible (but you will need to confirm). Typically, as long as you have an active US military ID, you should be able to take advantage of these promotional offers, but the only way to know for sure is to contact a Cast Member over the phone. They can go over the details of the promotion, ensure that you are eligible to take advantage of it, and make your reservations for you.
Now, if you are not eligible, Randolph, don’t worry! About every few months or so, Walt Disney World Resort tends to release new special offers for all Guests that you can use towards your family vacation. We are currently awaiting the fall offers to drop on the
website, and once they do, you will be able to apply them toward your vacation (if eligible). One offer that you should definitely have on your radar, Randolph, will be perfect for your daughter’s reservation: t
he free dining plan offer. The dining plan offer is valid for travel dates in 2026 and enables your daughter to get free dining plans for her two youngest children when she purchases a dining plan for herself, her husband, and her oldest child. This can be a great way to potentially save on the vacation! I hope this was helpful and points you in the right direction, Randolph. As you continue planning your vacation or have any other questions, please come back and see us. We are always here to help and would love to continue to do so.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
