I am disabled and need to sit to put on my makeup. I also need to use a magnifying mirror to put said makeup on. Am I able to bring my own mirror with me to use in my cabin?

Ahoy there, Kathryn! Thanks for sailing our way at planDisney! I see your sailing is just over the horizon, so let's weigh anchor and cast off immediately!

While I usually only put makeup on when I'm getting in costume for Pirate Night, a Halloween on the High Seas, or Marvel Day at Sea sailing (seriously, I feel like I'm STILL removing eyeshadow and liner from dressing up as The Winter Soldier...) I know there are plenty of Guests that use it every day, so this is a great question!

I sailed on over to check the Prohibited Items list and by all accounts, it looks like you shouldn't have any trouble bringing your own magnifying mirror aboard. Now, if your mirror has a light in it as well, there is a possibility that it may be subject to inspection from the Chief Electrician, so I do suggest that you bring it in your carry-on luggage to facilitate this process if possible! Oh, and if you don't see one in your stateroom restroom's vanity, be sure to ask your Stateroom Host for a makeup washcloth!

Aside from that, it seems like smooth sailing for you and your magic mirror, Kathryn! Thank you so much for your question, and if you find yourself with any others as you finish this final part of your preparations, please drop us another line here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
