A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Lucia. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to visit the Disneyland Resort later this year and I'm delighted to help you prepare.
Unfortunately, collapsible and folding chairs are not permitted in the theme parks or in the Downtown Disney District. While many benches and other places to sit are scattered throughout the park, I can understand that there may be times when a seat is not readily available. You may consider
renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) or manual wheelchair for the day. These can be rented at the entrance of Disneyland Park and are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so I recommend arriving early.
If you're visiting for a few days, you may also consider renting from a private mobility rental company in the local area,
ScooterBug. These rentals are available for several days and they'll even drop off and pick up from your Disneyland Resort hotel or Good Neighbor Hotel in the area. My aunt used this service during one of our visits and it was incredibly helpful and made her visit so comfortable. When you have a chance, I also recommend checking out the
Services for Guests with Mobility Needs. One of the things that I love about Disneyland is how inclusive and accessible the parks are for everyone.
It looks like you're planning to visit during
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, which is one of my favorite times of the year. The spooky season is a ghoulishly good time and it always makes me so happy to see the giant Mickey pumpkin in Town Square. Be sure to keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog as you get closer to your visit for more frighteningly fun details.
Lucia, while this might not be the answer you were hoping for, I hope that the information I shared is still helpful as you're planning your visit. Please come back to visit us with any other questions you might have. Until then, I'll be sending all the pixie dust your way as you continue to plan for your magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
