Ahoy Maureen and welcome to planDisney. If it is an adventure you are seeking for your family,
Disney Cruise Line has bounties of treasure for everyone to experience. When we set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew we know one thing, we need to be able to eat.
I have a son with severe dietary restrictions and whether we are at Disney Theme Parks or sailing the Seven Seas, we are constantly preparing for his nourishment. Guests may bring non-perishable pre-packaged snacks of all kinds to enjoy on their voyage. However, when it comes to food that falls in the
Prohibited and Restricted Items List such as food that is homemade, pre-cooked, perishable, inside open food containers, or food that needs to be refrigerated, prepared, cooked, reheated, or even stored, crew members are not allowed to handle these personal items.
I recommend you reach out to a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member by
phone and explain your specific
Dietary Request to see what accommodations are available. If you booked through a travel agent then they can call on your behalf but I think it is more efficient for you to speak directly.
Maureen, I hope this information helps you get ship-shape for your September voyage. Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for any other Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories on the High Seas.
