Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca!
I’ve had the opportunity to travel with members of my family requiring additional assistance in the theme parks due to disabilities, and I can tell you that the Disneyland Resort is such a magically accommodating location! I’m happy to share the options you’ll have presented to you!
You’ll want to familiarize yourself with the
Disability Access Service page on the Disneyland Resort website as there is incredible information located there! In a nutshell, though, after registering for Disability Access Service at
Guest Relations upon arrival, you will be able to receive return times for attractions (comparable to the current standby wait for that attraction) instead of waiting in the traditional lines. This service is so wonderful, and you’ll be able to utilize it through your entire vacation. (The Guest who is requesting to use Disability Access Service has to be present during registration and when redeeming return times at the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Typically you do not need a note from a medical professional, but you are always welcome to bring one if it makes you feel more prepared and comfortable.)
Coming this fall, there are 2 new features that will be added to Disability Access Service that I am SO excited about! First is the opportunity to preregister via live video call with a Cast Member! The second is a more convenient way to select Disability Access Service return times for attractions through the
Disneyland Mobile App! Keep watching the Disability Access Service page and the
Disney Parks Blog for additional details!
If you have more questions, Rebecca, we’d love to hear from you again at planDisney!
