Hiya, Dianne!
Welcome back to planDisney, friend! I am delighted to hear that you are planning an adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I am sure that you and your Ohana are getting excited as you put together all of the planning details and start creating your marvelous itinerary. One of the reasons that I love Walt Disney World so much is their commitment to creating an amazing and magical environment for all of their Guests. Walt Disney World Resort has a wide variety of
services and access options available for Guests with disabilities for you to consider as you continue to make your upcoming plans.
The
Disability Access Service is available to Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended wait times due to a disability. Registration for this pass can be done online 2-30 days before you arrive or in person at any
Guest Relations location. All Guests requesting this service do need to be present to start the registration process. If you
prefer to register online, you and your son can complete the registration during one call. You can register through the online portal from 7 AM to 10 PM Eastern Time. I do want to mention that current wait times have been longer than anticipated, so I recommend calling early if your schedule permits. Be sure to
link your entire travel party in My Disney Experience before calling. This will ensure everyone can be added to any plans that may be reserved during this call.
Dianne, Walt Disney World also offers EVC rentals and
designated parking spaces for Guests with
mobility disabilities should you need these options. There are also designated quiet spaces for breaks and
health care services available.
I do have one last tip to share before you arrive. Don't forget to download the
My Disney Experience mobile app. This is a must for planning on the go and can save you a ton of time during your stay. This app will give you access to
Mobile Food & Beverage orders,
Disney Genie- your ultimate planning guide, and
Disney MagicMobile Service. Who knew one mobile app could hold so many convenient features? All that saved time adds up to a lot of extra memories being made.
I hope that you and your son have the best trip ever!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
