    Can you direct me to a great link to help me better understand the transportation system (we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge). I am also wondering how and how much time I need to allow our family to get to our resort to the Polynesian resort. Thanks.

    Hi Julie!

    There are great articles on the independent website AllEars.Net and MousePlanet.Com.  For example, use Google and "Mouse Planet Disney Transportation" to go right to their article. 

    The Wilderness Lodge is my absolute favorite resort at Walt Disney World.  It has boat service to the Magic Kingdom and boat service to the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness.  All other destinations are served by Disney buses. 

    The easiest way to get from the Wilderness Lodge to the Polynesian is via a boat from the Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary.  Once at the Contemporary, you can take the monorail to the Polynesian.  I would plan on it taking 45 minutes which assumes a reasonable amount of time waiting for the boat and the monorail!  Of course, the fastest way to the Polynesian is to take a taxi from the Wilderness Lodge straight to the Polynesian.  That's about a 5 minute trip and relatively inexpensive.
