Is there a direct boat ride from the Polynesian to Fort Wilderness or would I have to travel to Magic Kingdom first and transfer to a boat headed for Fort Wilderness to see Hoop-Dee-Do Revue? Also, what time would I need to leave for the 4:00 show?

Hi Michelle! I know you will be enjoying the beautiful Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World for your vacation. It is definitely one of the most popular resorts on property.

The Polynesian does not offer a direct boat to the Fort Wilderness Resort. You have several options to get there and they include take a boat as you mentioned to the Magic Kingdom and then hop on the Fort Wilderness boat which is located directly in front of the entrance queues of the park. You can also hop on the monorail and get off at the park and hop on the boat. Your third option is to head to the Contemporary via the monorail and walk out and catch the boat to Fort Wilderness from there.

I feel the fastest way to get there is to go via the Magic Kingdom Fort Wilderness boat. Whether you take a monorail or a boat to the park to make the connection is up to you. Monorails can break down so I usually trust the boats first when trying to get to a reservation. To give yourself plenty of time without stressing leave an hour and a half before your dining time. If you arrive early there are many things you can do while you wait. The Disney stables are located there and there is a Trading Post to visit.

The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is my family's favorite dinner show on property. It never seems to get old and it is full of laughs and good food each trip. Save room for the strawberry shortcake too!
