Howdy Ailleen! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Can you believe that I’ve never actually dined at
Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park? However, I live a low-carb lifestyle, and after checking out the delicious menu, it is now #1 on my Disney Dining bucket list (Lettuce Cups? Yes, please)! You are correct that I do not see the Steak Shrimp which you mentioned and I asked a Cast Member who, unfortunately, was also not aware of another location at Walt Disney World Resort that served this item. Keep an eye open as menu offerings do tend to change, also if you do decide to dine at this location, I would ask a server because sometimes even though an item is not “officially” still on the menu, Guests have been known to order them successfully. In addition, letting them know that you miss this menu option gives them feedback for upcoming changes to their offerings!
As for suggestions for a birthday dinner, there are SO MANY GREAT OPTIONS! Are you planning to be in a Disney Theme Park, if so, which one? Will you be dining at Disney Springs? Maybe you are planning to dine at a Disney Resort hotel. Another consideration is if you have children, your meal preferences and if you would like a Character Dining Experience or Dinner Show. One of my favorite Disney Restaurants for an adult celebration is
California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort with Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park coming in at a close second. If you are dining at Magic Kingdom Park, Be Our Guest Restaurant is always a crowd pleaser!
I hope this helps you with your planning and bon appétit!
