When will the dinning plan be available..and annal pass

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Sarah. Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Here at planDisney, we are a group of people that love sharing our knowledge and expertise on how to plan magical, pixie-dusted vacations to Disney destinations. Because we are Guests ourselves, we don't have access to behind-the-scenes information like when the Disney Dining Plan or Annual Pass program might return.

A few months back, Sarah, the Disney Parks Blog released an article letting us know that they've heard the outcry of love and support for the Disney Dining Plan. At that time, they announced that they are planning to bring it back eventually but they were not ready to release a timeframe to us. That's the last update that we've had about that. The good news is more and more Walt Disney World restaurants are opening back up and that can only mean good things for the return of the Disney Dining Plan. Until we see it return, I suggest stocking up on Disney Gift Cards to pay for food and drinks while you are at Walt Disney World. It is similar to the Disney Dining Plan in the sense that it is already paid for ahead of time and has to be used for something at Walt Disney World. I like to pick up Disney Gift Cards when I am grocery shopping. It doesn't add a lot to my bill but I am always so surprised how quickly they can add up.

As a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder myself, I have my fingers crossed that this will open back up for sales soon. The Annual Pass program is wonderful, my family and I have made so many memories that will last a lifetime as passholders. Sarah, when the program does open back up, you'll be eligible to purchase the Disney Incredi-Pass which gives you access to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks 365 days of the year with no blockout dates. You'll also be able to make and hold up to 5 park pass reservations at a time without a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stay. This is a really great upgrade to the program because previously we were only given 3 and it made planning a long weekend a lot more difficult.

I have my fingers crossed that these programs will return to Walt Disney World very soon, Sarah. Please feel free to stop back by and ask me for an update and keep an eye out over on the Disney Parks Blog.

    Have a great day.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
