Is a dinning package worth the cost if you are constantly watching what you eat due to your husbands diabetes? We plan on bringing breakfast/snacks. Thinking about bringing lunch now too. So for a sit down meal and here and there food, is it worth it?

Hi Alisha! If you are considering bringing a lot of your own food on your vacation then I suggest you do not include the Disney Dining Plan. I feel you would find it hard to make it worth while and use the credits available to you.

Guests with special dietary restrictions can certainly be accommodated at the Disney restaurants. A chef will come and discuss the menu with you at every meal. For the quick service locations you can ask to see the ingredient file for all the food they serve and a manager will assist you on those selections.

You certainly want to make your vacation as easy and stress free as possible. If bringing your own food makes that happen then by all means. Please understand that room refrigerators are quite small and are not as cold as home refrigerators so be careful what you store in them. The resorts will have a small selection of food supplies in their stores. The closest grocery store would be in the Lake Buena Vista shopping area off property.

I hope you have a wonderful time. Relax and enjoy everything that Disney offers which will result in a very magical vacation!
